I Gotta Try This!

Last Sunday it was beautiful outside so we decided to take a drive over to Salt Lake to watch the sun go down. When we got to the lake their was this guy flying around the area on this parachute with a fan thing and it looked awesome! I don't know what you call this but talk about looking peaceful! I wished I could take his place and fly with the geese that were all over and have the wonderful view of the Great Salt Lake with Antelope Island in the distance. Here's a few pictures of what we were watching....if anyone knows what these are called let me know.....I'm curious.

My Jeep Liberty

Have I told you I love my Jeep Liberty? Some day I will have a lift kit and big tires on it but I still love it! Built in GPS system too! Here are some pictures of my many travels in my Jeep. It may appear that in some photos the Jeep changes colors but it's just the lighting...their all me! Trust me.

Mark Your Calendars....

The first week in July the Daggett clan will be back in The Land of Lincoln for a week to visit all of you guys! We probably will leave here on June 30th. Mark these dates on your calendars and don't make plans. One night we will be getting drunk and there will be NO EXCUSES!!!

Gearing up for the Super Bowl.....

I spent most of the day today cleaning the garage out and getting ready for our Super Bowl party. We stocked the bar and I got everything set-up so it should be a good time. Here's some pictures of the garage and my find at the DI (thrift shop) The two brown chairs I got for $12 a piece. What a steal and very comfortable .....perfect for the garage and watching the Super Bowl!

National Man's Day - March 3, 2007

We've set a date. March 3, 2007 will be the first annual National Man's Day Celebration at the Piper Down Pub. The rules have changed slightly. Here are some.

Rule #1: You must be there to open up the pub (11:00 am) and stay until the pub closes (1:30 am).

Rule #2: You must wear the official National Man's Day logo t-shirt which will be provided.

Rule #3: The first one to take a piss has to buy a round.

Rule #4: If you puke....you buy a round.

Rule #5: You can't buy a shot but if one is offered to you...you can't turn it down.

Rule #6: You have to have at the minimum (1) drink per hour.

Rule #7: There is no leaving for anything or you will be disqualified.

Rule #8: Trash talking is encouraged.

Rule #9: The last man standing will claim the National Man's Day Grand Prize. A hard hat with beer holders on it in which he will sign and date and hold on to until March 1, 2008....National Man's Day celebration #2.

During the day we will be playing Texas Hold'em, poker, darts, pool, left/right/center and various other drinking games. Anyone who would like to participate please feel free to come to Salt Lake the first weekend in March and join us. I would love to see you guys here. A nice road trip for you guys. It will be a blast! There will be many photo's posted on the blog page of this day. I can't wait!

No....I'm not dead.

Beleive it or not I'm not dead! Some days I feel like it but I'm alive and kicking. Nice pictures BPDP! It's been pretty hectic here. Everyone at some point or another over the last two weeks has been sick....Jake with bronchitis and he lost his voice. I've been seeing a specialist about my feet and he has sent me for x-rays and c.t. scans and last thing he told me was there was something funny with how the bones grew in my feet and that there was a doctor at the university who would be interested in seeing me. I'm kind of worried about that but I have to call and talk to him on Monday morning. Worse case is I have to have surgery on my feet....1 at a time....6-8 weeks off work per foot! Let's hope it's not the worse case. Anyways...sorry I haven't been on the blog page but some days it's hard to find time to get downstairs and type. Haven't been out taking pictures lately...at least not landscape photos. Took some of the kids playing outside today as I shoveled. We got about 4 inches of snow last night. I'll put a couple pictures of the kids below so you can see. I'm ususally a winter person and I was excited about skiing with BPDP but with my feet I just assume winter be over and summer be here so we can go fishing and camping again. It's been a pretty uneventfull winter. Me and Diana drove up to Idaho (about 1 1/2 hours)last Sunday for real beer and lottery tickets. Nice road trip. Sat at the bar in the garage today and watched the bears game. not much going on. I'll try to stay on top of the blog page and send more cool pictures...but until then enjoy these and talk to you later.

National Man Day

SO me and some friends at work were talking at lunch and somehow we got on the topic of how everyone has a day and how we should have a day. We came up with "National Man Day" after quite a few other and less ingenious names were tossed out. Not only did we come up with a name but we actually came up with an idea of how we are going to do something on this day every year but we are yet to come up with the date. Now on our last break we came up with a set of rules for this day and we wrote them on a napkin. The rules go as follows:

Participants are required to go to a bar at opening (11:00 am) and stay til closing (1:00 am).

Rule #1: The men are required to wear dress pants and a tie except for 5:00 pm which is dedicated to Aloha shirts and fruity drinks.

Rule #2: The first hour of the day is for donuts, irish coffee and catching up on current events.

Rule #3: At 4:00 there will be an optional round of calisthenics.

Rule #4: The "Man Day" players can't buy any hard liquor until 9:00 pm but they can't turn down a shot if offered.

Rule #5: Cell phones are only allowed the last 5 min. of every hour.

Rule #6: Anyone who pukes has to buy a pitcher of beer.

Rule #7: Anyone late for the 7:15 dinner call has to buy two pitchers of beer.

Rule #8: The more the merrier.

Once a date is set I will let you all know....feel free to participate in "National Man Day" at home and mark it on your calendar for an annual event!

Dexter

Has anyone ever seen this show before? It was on Showtime, Sunday nights at 9:00 pm but they replay it all week long. The first season is over now and I'm waiting to find out when the second season starts. If you haven't seen it you have to....I'm hooked. The main charcter is Michael C. Hall from Six Feet Under. He works in Homicide with the Miami Metro Police Department but spends his free time hunting and killing bad guys. When I first saw this I thought it was kind of weird but soon after got hooked.
