Much too Young to Feel this Damn Old....

Is it just me or is anybody else falling apart? It seems like when I hit 30 I gradually started to self destruct. I mean I do simple things like cough and pull muscles I didn't even know I had. We went for a ride the other day and Diana drove and I got in first so I leaned over to unlock her door and pulled a muscle in my side! I don't know if you all got this or not so I will repeat it. I PULLED A MUSCLE UNLOCKING A CAR DOOR! How sad and pathetic is that. I mean I hear new things poping and cracking everyday that didn't pop or crack the day before. Lately I've been having problems with my feet getting really sore at work. So sore that sometimes I can barely walk to my truck at the end of the shift. So sore that it feels like my bones in my ankles are fusing together and it hurts to bend them! So after weeks of pain I decided to see a doctor about this. He decides to take 4 tubes of blood and send them off for testing and gives my some anti-inflammatory (don't think this is spelled right) pills to help with the pain. HA! Not only does it NOT help with the pain but I get two of the side effects.....dizzy and my feet are swelled up like grapefruits! Hurts like hell! So I get to go to the doctor this morning at 9:30 am to see what to do now. I'm still trying to figure out if I'm really 34 or 64? Some days I feel like I'm 64. Like I said before....I'm much too young to feel this damn old.

You should change your screen name to Utah Geezer! LOL.
Sorry you hurt though, that sucks. Just like Spiezio when he had that strained oblique muscle a few yrs ago. But he probably pulled his while performing a donkey punch on his soon-to-be stripper wife.

Slinger, that's hilarious.

Dagger, I hear you buddy. I literally felt my momentum change the day of my 30th birthday... I'm not even kidding. I know it was psychosomatic, but I can't deny my metabolism went out the door that year. And of course now I'm getting over a horribly painful torn muscle in my calf (with a side order of an infection that really jacked things up) that was the result of some light jogging. It's not just you, trust me.

Although you really should stretch before doing strenuous activities like unlocking car doors.

Maybe Richard Simmons has a tape for stretches before opening car doors....do ya think?

I actually believed last year that I was getting younger (and felt like it, too)..."when I hit 30, I went backwards, so now I'm 27"

...yeah, not so much anymore! I've been walking like an old man all summer, all hunched over for about 2-3 minutes after I get up from sitting for more than 10 minutes...makes it hard to convince myself I'm only 26...now I'm starting to think the other way, switch the two numbers (43)!

Gotta go get this back worked on, I have a chiropractor appointment I'm almost late for.
